On Immigration

What is you opinion on the following statements?

  1.           We are a country of immigrants. We are indeed able to absorb more immigrants. We greatly benefit from immigration.
  2.             We are a compassionate and humane people who value all human life and the well-being of everyone.
  3.             We expect all immigrants intent on residing in America to respect our laws, pay their taxes, be loyal to America and contribute to the economy – – and learn English
  4.             To protect our sovereignty and to comply with our laws we must rigidly control our borders and determine just who will be permitted entry.
  5. Illegal immigrants bypass proper health vetting and could be infected with communicable diseases.
  6.             Entrance preference should be given to those with useful shills or needed specialties.
  7.             We should welcome legitimate asylum seekers but, where possible they should be vetted at consular offices in their home, or transient, country.
  8. We should be mindful of the resources we have available to accommodate all immigrants.
  9.             Current procedures for handing those entering illegally are inadequate and must be modified.
  10.             Illegal immigrants should not unduly take advantage of our social and economic systems and not have free and unfettered access to non-emergency social services, driver’s licenses, jobs, etc.
  11.             Sanctuary cities are burdensome on our economic system and frustrate a consistent and rational immigration policy.
  12. Sanctuary cities encourage illegal immigration.
  13. Illegal immigrants were able to enter the country because of our own failure to control entry. We are both at fault. Therefore illegals should be identified, vetted and put on track to become legal residents and ultimately U.S. citizens.

If you said ‘yes’ to these you are on the same page with the Common Man.
